Peter Dumo is your Novacare Pharmacist/Owner. Peter has been practicing pharmacy since 1994. As a pharmacist who has practiced in hospital, clinical and community practice, he has a broad clinical background. His experience working closely with patients, nurses and physicians allows Peter to quickly and effectively adjust medication regimens to minimize your side effects and maximize the benefits of your medications. Peter also has significant experience helping patients who can't afford their medications.
Peter is particularly interested in helping patients dealing with diabetes, heart failure and complex cholesterol issues to achieve the best possible results from their medications. Peter has practiced for 8 years in an endocrinology clinic, 5 years in a cardiology clinic and 4 years in an infectious disease clinic. He has significant experience providing anticoagulation care (Coumadin or warfarin) and managing a pharmacist-run anticoagulation practice.
Peter has lectured at Wayne State University, local, regional, and national meetings on the topics listed above and has published and presented research in those area as well.
